Petkim becomes a star exporter in 2022

According to the 2022 data spanning all sectors of the Aegean Exporters’ Association (AEA), Petkim led the rankings in the list of “Star Exporters,” earning the distinction of becoming the company with the highest level of exports in the Aegean Region. As in 2021, Petkim not only met the demands of the domestic market in 2022 but also maintained its strong exporting position, realizing exports amounting to 913 million dollars.

As a company operating under the umbrella of the SOCAR Türkiye Group, Türkiye’s largest industrial holdings corporation, Petkim, has once again earned the title of “Export Champion” in the chemicals sector in 2022. Petkim also took a leading place in the “Star Exporters” list traditionally announced by the Aegean Exporters’ Association (AEA) in the “All sectors” category.

Petkim’s award was presented to SOCAR Türkiye Refinery and Petrochemicals Business Unit Financial Affairs Vice-President Elchin Ibadov at the 2022 Star Exporters Awards Ceremony organized by the AEA.

Petkim achieves exports of 913 million dollars

Türkiye’s first and only integrated petrochemicals plant, Petkim continues to reap the rewards of its STAR Refinery integration, effective planning and optimization operations. Having recently completed its quadrennial planned maintenance operations, Petkim, as in the past, has again become the Aegean Region’s exports champion in 2022. Repeating its performance in 2021, Petkim leads the chemicals sector as well as all other sectors, achieving an exports level amounting directly and indirectly to a total of 913 million dollars.
